Stokes Bay

This is a photo I took of Stokes Bay in February 2021, looking towards the Isle of Wight. It is not far from where I live. I walk here regularly and the sea looked particularly flinty on this wintery evening. At first glance the image could be monochrome, but there are glimpses of blue breaking through the clouds. Sometimes you can pick up fossilised echinoids, or sea-urchins, here.
