Winnie Moon
As a stray Winnie Moon appeared in the snow of the late winter of 2011, I started to feed him twice daily for two years, had him neutered and looked after him as a nomad cat until he was long term fostered by Celia Hammond Animal Welfare Trust in October 2013. My other cat Titus hated sharing a space with him so it was with great sadness that he had to go and be caged up whilst I went travelling to SE Asia.
I always looked out for Winnie Moon and wondered how he was getting on when I came home. Titus sadly died in 2015 and the home felt weird without a wee puss cat. In 2018 I saw Winston Winnie Moon back on the Celia Hammond website looking for a home, without any hesitation I was calling and emailing them knowing that I could give the boy a forever home.
March 2018 he came home, and it’s like he never left. The stars aligned. He likes reflexology on his back paws and his tummy tickled. He tells me when it’s time for bed. He tells me when it’s time to get up.
White cats are know in the East for their spirituality and I love how he meditates. I love how he just stares at me and then slow blinks which means he loves you, so I just slow blink back.
