Give up Art

The "Give Up Art" badge" was given to Harry Pye by fellow artist Bob & Roberta Smith roughly 10 years ago. Pye had come out of Bethnal Green tube station when he noticed Bob Smith come towards him with a big grin on his face. "Have I got a badge for you!?" asked Smith as he handed over the badge. Around this time Bob Smith organised an art amnesty at London's I.C.A. Young artists handed over their art works to Smith who then made them sign a document promising that they would never make art again.
