Battersea Power Station by Olga Suchanova
Slovakian-born visual artist Olga Suchanova lives and works in London. Olga’s background is in the fields of art, science, and technology. She explores the concept of space, time, illusion, and reality. As a medium, she uses photography, printmaking, screen printing, painting, and mixed digital realities.
This image of the Battersea Power Station, exposed for 4 months in a homemade camera, won first place in The Thames Lens Photography Competition. Suchanova's solargraph of Battersea Power Station has previously been exhibited at The Museum of London. In August it will feature as part of The Camera Club and also at The Thames Side Studios Gallery as part of the 'ReImagine Joya' exhibition, which Olga is co-curating.
In September Olga will be running a few creative workshops as the part of 'ReImagine Joya' exhibition and Totally Thames Festival. At the moment Olga's painting 'Nocturne over London' is part of the Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts. Previously Olga was shortlisted for the Astronomy Photographer of the Year and exhibited at the National Maritime Museum.
